We collect as little as we can, use it only for the purpose you gave it to us, and do not sell it.
Project inquiries
When you request a cost range or send us project details, we store:
- your email address (required) and, if you provide them, your name and phone number
- the project details you choose to give, such as ZIP code, project type, stops, elevator type, cab and door preferences, finish level, timing, and notes
- the page you sent the form from and the time
We use this information to prepare and send your cost range, to follow up about your request, and—in aggregate—to understand what kinds of projects people are planning. We do not currently offer a newsletter or planning-tip subscription. We use your phone number only to contact you about your request.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with manufacturers, dealers, installers, or advertisers unless you ask us to.
Saved designs and emailed reports
When you save a design or ask us to email your report, we store your email address with the design (your choices in the 3D designer, the price range we calculated, and the pricing version). We create a private link that opens the design; anyone with the link can view and change that design, so share it only with people you trust. We keep a one-way hash of the link’s secret, not the secret itself. Changes you make after saving are saved to the same design.
We email you only what you asked for: the link, the report, and a confirmation if you request verified pricing.
Verified local pricing
When you ask for verified local pricing, we also store your name, phone number, project ZIP code, preferred call time, and notes. With the consent you give in that form, we share your design and those contact details with one vetted installer who serves your area, only so they can review your design and contact you about a verified price. We record the consent wording you agreed to and when. That installer may use your details only to respond to your request.
Spam and abuse prevention
To limit automated submissions, we keep a short-lived, one-way hashed version of the submitting IP address for rate limiting. The original IP address is not stored. If enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile may process limited technical information to distinguish people from bots, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Analytics
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page views without cookies or cross-site tracking. We also record a small set of anonymous events—for example, that a guide was viewed, a source link was clicked, or a form was sent—containing only the event name, the page path, and a timestamp. These events contain no names, email addresses, or identifiers.
We also use Google Analytics to see which pages and planner steps people use, so we can improve the site. It sets first-party cookies and receives your IP address, browser details, and the pages you view. Google signals and ad personalization are off, and we never send names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, project descriptions, or project links. You can opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab) or by blocking cookies.
Hosting and storage
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, inquiries and saved designs are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database, and emails are sent through Cloudflare Email Service. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where Cloudflare operates.
Retention
We keep inquiry information and saved designs for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is first. Rate-limiting records are deleted automatically within a day.
Unsubscribe, access, and deletion
Every marketing email we send will include an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe on theunsubscribe page, or email[email protected] to unsubscribe, see what we hold about you, or have it deleted. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning a home project and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change how we use inquiry information, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where required before the change applies to you.
Professional-interest requests
If you register through For Professionals, we collect your name, business name, business email, services and service area, plus any optional phone number, website, minimum project size, capacity or notes you provide. We store this request separately from customer project inquiries in this site's own database, together with your contact permission, its wording and version, and the submission date.
We use these details to evaluate potential professional relationships and contact you about your request. Registering does not enroll you in a paid program, subscribe you to marketing or give you access to customer information. These business-contact details are not sent to analytics. We use short-lived hashed connection data to limit repeated submissions; raw IP addresses are not stored in professional-interest records. Please do not include customer information in this form.
We keep the request while evaluating or discussing potential participation. To update it, withdraw your interest or request deletion, contact us using the contact details in this privacy notice. We do not publish your professional-interest submission or automatically share it across the portfolio.
